While 2025 delivered us some of the greatest films ever created by our favourite directors, as well as sequels and franchise episodes that live up to the expectations, it also brought us some of the worst films in recent memory, which are badly produced and confusing to watch.

1. Back in Action
Emily and Matt, two former CIA operatives, are drawn back into espionage after their covert identities are revealed in the film Back in Action.
The movie, which was meant to be Cameron Diaz’s return after a decade-long absence, ended up being a generic and unimpressive action-comedy with cliched beats, a wasteful use of gifted actors, and badly written dialogue. You’ll probably forget what occurred by the end.

2. Flight Risk
A pilot who takes an Air Marshal with a fugitive to trial is the subject of Flight Risk. Tensions rise and trust is put to the test as they traverse the Alaskan tundra since not everyone on board is who they appear.
It’s unbelievable that Oscar-winning director Mel Gibson oversaw this film given how badly it was constructed, with subpar CGI, a weak script, and a lack of excitement in what was meant to be a promising action thriller set on an aeroplane.

3. The Electric State
The Electric State focusses on an orphaned kid who teams up with a smuggler and his witty sidekick to travel with an enigmatic robot in search of her long-lost sibling.
Even though it was the most costly Netflix original movie ever, it lacked the beauty and enchantment that made this an unforgettable experience for viewers at home. After making this, it is understandable why the Russo Brothers chose to rejoin the MCU.

4. The Alto Knights
Two of the most infamous crime leaders in New York City compete for dominance of the city’s streets in The Alto Knights. They were once great friends, but a string of betrayals and small-minded jealousies put them on a deadly collision path.
Even though Robert De Niro’s twin roles had amazing makeup, the movie was uninteresting the entire time and ultimately became a cliché of old-fashioned mob films.

5. The Bride Hard
The maid of honour in Bride Hard is actually a covert operative prepared to unleash hellfire on anyone who would spoil her best friend’s wedding, so when a bunch of mercenaries takes a sumptuous wedding hostage, they have no idea what to expect.
The film’s badly executed action scenes, subpar visual effects, and narrative that is essentially a Die Hard parody make it incomprehensible that the same director of Con Air also helmed it.
